Stay informed and get involved in supporting an enabling environment for philanthropy in Europe

In a context marked increasingly by shrinking civic and philanthropic space, Philea champions the interests of its members vis-à-vis the EU and multilateral organisations. We work towards an enabling operating environment for European philanthropy by monitoring and analysing policy and regulatory trends at national, European, and international level, and engaging around this agenda with policymakers and other stakeholders.

2026 highlights:

  • New edition of “Comparative Highlights of Foundation Laws”
  • Enabling Environment Monitoring (published weekly), Policy newsletter (published quarterly)
  • EuroPhilantopics, in Brussels in December brings together policymakers and philanthropy

Take part in Philea membership “open house” gatherings (online)

Taking place throughout the year, these ad-hoc gatherings bring Philea members together to exchange around specific topics or to learn more about Philea activities and how to engage.
