Highlights of our journey since the convergence between EFC and Dafne in May 2022
Launch May 2022
- Adoption by the membership of a bold new vision, mission and Strategic Framework 2023-2027.

2024
- Consolidation and focus – Improving processes & endorsement by the General Assembly of a revised membership fee structure
2025
Continued delivery at high pace, with important developments:
- Increasingly engaged membership and recognised organisational brand.
- Integration of Transnational Giving Europe into Philea.
- Donation by Realdania and Compagnia di San Paolo of shares of Philanthropy House to Philea.
- At the mid-way point of the 5-year strategic framework, reflection moment during the Board and NGC strategic retreat in Riga, and subsequent endorsement by the General Assembly of a path to create a stronger, more agile and more strategic organisation.
2022
- Internal reorganisation into 6 clusters of activities
2023
- Year of transition – Working with our new constituency, governance and brand and start of 5-year strategic framework

2026
We will see these ambitions begin to materialise, and this against an increasingly more complex societal and geopolitical context.
The year will also be one of renewal for Philea, as new leadership will be elected for the governance of the organisation.
