Associates
This was another year of consolidating our community while continuing to grow, with 29 new Full Members and 2 new Associate Members – from 17 different countries and including 5 from central and eastern Europe – joining in 2025.
The year began with our second Open House online event, responding to members’ suggestions and aiming to help them navigate our vast offer of activities and identify engagement opportunities that best suit their needs.
At the General Assembly held during the Philea Forum 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal, members took a number of important decisions shaping the organisation’s future direction. In addition to approving the annual accounts, members endorsed the Vision Paper for Philea’s Mid‑Term Strategic Review, giving a clear mandate to begin redesigning our funding model. This decision launched a collaborative process of benchmarking, scenario‑building and member consultation aimed at creating a more strategic, agile and sustainable model that better reflects the challenges of our time.
The work will lead to a concrete proposal for adoption at the General Assembly in 2026, completing a key step in strengthening our long‑term organisational backbone.
“Knowing that we are not alone, but part of a committed and engaged community, gives a strong sense of support and shared purpose. ”
Respondent from 2025 Philea membership satisfaction survey
Membership Survey
In 2025, we carried out the third edition of our annual Membership Satisfaction Survey, securing our highest participation to date with a 30% response rate.
This strong engagement provides our most representative insight to date into our members’ experiences and priorities. Nearly 88% of respondents reported being “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with Philea’s work, reflecting steady growth in trust, relevance and perceived value.
Members across all categories highlighted the importance of our role as a convener and knowledge hub, particularly valuing peer exchange, timely resources, and opportunities for meaningful dialogue on sector-wide issues.
These insights guided our planning for the year ahead, helping us refine our offer, strengthen accessibility, and ensure that every member feels engaged, well‑supported, and able to benefit fully from the Philea community.
